The rifle scope version is tailored towards a larger variety of various caliber rifles. I wouldn't be reluctant to use that rifle scope on my. 22,,. 223, or. 243 however I wouldn't use it on my. 45 cal. break action smokeless muzzleloader, it would probably smack me in the head and I absolutely hate that.
I have 2 Nikon Prostaff 5 3. 5-14x40 scopes on tough kicking smokeless muzzleloaders. I'm not sure how they would compare to a P3 however I do like the Prostaff 5's. More In-Depth -On program works effectively as long as you input great numbers for the program to deal with.
On my muzzleloaders, I will not purchase anything less than 4 inches, that may change one day, but for now, it's what I like.
